The
Challenge

The existing mobile application has fallen short of expectations, demonstrating significantly lower user adoption rates than anticipated by senior management. This shortfall presents a critical challenge, hindering the achievement of key business objectives related to user growth and engagement.

The mobile application failed to effectively achieve its business goals. It neither adequately assisted end-users nor successfully promoted the consumption of products and services. Furthermore, the app's value proposition to end-users was unclear, hindering user adoption and engagement.

The Solution

After initial research we ran Discovery sessions to increase visibility highlighting Issues, Challenges, and their associated deltas within the current application. This improved transparency to senior leadership empowering the project team to make informed and prioritised decisions, driving project progress forward.

Two streams, Functionality and Design, were prioritized. The Functionality stream emphasized close collaboration between UX and development. Concurrently, a Design Language and Interaction Library was established. This resource streamlined development and provided a foundation for future updates, ensuring a consistent user experience.
